A Scott Byron & Co. Fleet Technician is a hardworking, that performs preventative maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of the fleet and small equipment according to company procedures. Maintain the interior and exterior of the facility under the direction and supervision of the Fleet Manager.
Hours: 12:30PM to 9:00PM
Responsibilities:
· Inspects fleet equipment to determine functional systems and detect malfunctions and needed repairs.
· Performs fleet maintenance duties to include but not be limited to inspections, minor repairs, add/or replacement of parts using appropriate hand, power and specialty tools.
· Operates and maintains lubrication equipment.
· Document work performed.
· Maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
· Learn and apply new technology in advanced diagnostics and repairs.
· Develop and maintain good communication, high safety standards, and positive relations with coworkers and the public.
· Responsible to drive daily in a company vehicle with or without passengers.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physical field work as directed by supervisor.
· Candidates must have a valid local driver’s license and maintain a good driving record.
· Valid CDL license is a plus.
· Required to pass a DOT medical physical according to DOT guidelines.
· A pre-employment physical and drug test is required after offer of employment.
· Will be subject to random drug screening.
· Diesel experience is a plus.
· Experience working with Ford, Case, and Kubota equipment is a plus
· Must be 21 years or older
· Ability to communicate in English is extremely helpful but not required.
